The Ascend Recovery family program is truly one of the unique features at Ascend. At Ascend we follow research that validates that family involvement is key to successful recovery. For this reason we try to involve the family in the treatment process as much as possible. We have a family program that takes place every week on-site at Ascend. Every week Ascend staff meets with families to both educate them about addiction and engage in therapeutic process groups designed to help the family heal some of the issues related to addiction. Ascend’s family program was formed using the supervision of Tom McCullom LCSW, who has been a family therapist and nationally recognized interventionist for nearly 20 years. Ascend’s family program is designed to address your individual family’s needs and is not simply designed on an educational model. For clients with families traveling long distances Ascend will tailor the family program to your schedule so that the weeks you are at the program will be the most productive for both the client and the family.
