Ascend Recovery's staff is both caring and extremely experienced. The center's staff has well over 60 years combined experience in the field. Ascend Recovery offers an intimate 8 bed residential facility so that they can form individual treatment plans for the benefit of each client according to their needs. Ascend Recovery additionally strives to make the gift of Recovery affordable and has established its groundbreaking program at rates 30% less than industry standards.

    • Experiential Therapy - includes Dance/Movement, Music, Drama, and Art - offers you opportunities to have direct experience of self in a safe and structured environment to best equip you on your road to growth and recovery to peace and sobriety.
    • Auriculotherapy - is treatment of neurological points in your ear by micro-current stimulation to alleviate your withdrawal symptoms and cravings of addictive substances by causing the release of specific neurotransmitters, restoring balance to your whole body and mind.
    • Torque Release Chiropractic Therapy - Misalignment of your spine can interfere with the proper operation of your limbic system and the flow of reward chemicals in your brain, resulting in what is known as "reward deficiency syndrome," thus causing you to seek mood-altering substances or activities. This technique restores balance and alignment, helping to eliminate cravings to alcohol and drugs, such as cocaine, heroine, opiates, etc.

    We do yoga as a group to help integrate all that we learn. For so long, as an addict, the body is an enemy. Yoga connects your spirit and body in such a beautiful, healing way. New York City addiction psychotherapist Mary Margaret Frederick, Ph.D. states: "Yoga treats the biology and the psychology of an addict. The will and determination yoga requires, helps people regain control over their body and their mind." Our bodies, like our minds, also hold and manifest emotional trauma. Yoga allows for physical and emotional repair from the inside out. This is reported as one of the favorite activities of our residents.
